Camp-Ins at the Detroit Science Center offer one-of-a-kind experiences for troops eager to learn about science in one of the most unique scouting environments in Detroit.



Workshops

Workshops designed just for scouts at the Detroit Science Center offer hands-on activities and themed educational programs that are fun for all ages. All workshop activities are designed to fulfill badge/pin requirements while providing scouts with a truly unique experience. For more information and reservations call 313.577.8400, Option 5. Daisy • Brownie • Cub Scouts Academic Program Workshops*
Cost: $10 per scout / $7 per adult • Each workshop is 3 hours.

* Cub Scout Academics workshops are open to Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos scouts. 

  • Workshop includes Science Center patch for scouts only.
  • Cadette/Senior Girl scouts also may register for Boy Scout Merit Badge workshops.
  • Maximum of 40 scouts for Cadette/Senior and Boy Scouts workshops.
  • Scouts must be 1st class scout or 11 years old for Boy Scout programs.

 

    Junior Girl Scouts • Webelos Scouts Workshops
    Cost: $15 per scout / $7 per adult • Each workshop is 3.5 hours.

Additional Notables:

  • Scouts should bring a bag lunch to the Science Center. Time will be scheduled during each workshop to eat. Food and beverages are also available for purchase in the Science Café.
  • Scouts should plan to wear their scout uniforms.
  • Above workshops include a Science Center patch for all participants and an activity badge, pin or recognition for scouts. Maximum number for Daisy, Brownie, Cub, Junior and Webelos scout workshops is 30 scouts.
