Spring Break Camps • April 5 - 9, 2010

The Detroit Science Center is offering Spring Break Camps from Monday, April 5, 2010, - Friday, April 9, 2010.  With new activities every day, kids can attend just one day or stay for the entire week!

New Camp Offered for Spring Break

Going Green (Grades 1-3, 4-6, and 7-8)
Motivating campers to become more active in preserving Earth’s natural resources, this camp features hands-on activities related to the environment.  Campers will explore innovative ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle.  Plus, each day features a special DIY recycling project.

Cost:

$40 members / $45 non-members for one day
For the week $180 members / /$190 non-members

Notables:

Before or after care: $5 daily ▪ Before and after care: $8 daily
Camp Begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m.
Before care begins at 8 a.m. After care is available until 5:30 p.m.
The Detroit Science Center provides lunch and afternoon snack.
*Only one discount or coupon can be applied per week of summer camp.

Overnight Camp-Ins

Camp-Ins at the Detroit Science Center offer scouts hands-on fun in a one-of-a-kind learning environment. Each overnight program includes theme-related activities, a late night snack, nutritious breakfast and a morning Chrysler IMAX® Dome Theatre film. All participants receive a Science Center patch.

Costs: $30 per person
Time: 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Science Spectacular Recommended for Grades 1-6
Back by popular demand! Explore all science has to offer in one night with fun, hands-on activities and
demonstrations. This jam-packed adventure will dive into physical, space, life and earth sciences.

Plan a Private Scout Camp-In!
Groups of 100 or more can choose any of our three Camp-In programs to create an exclusive experience at the Detroit Science Center. Program favorites, DSC: Science Detective, Wizards’Academy and Star Search are also available. Dates are limited and a minimum lead-time of two months is required. Call today!

 

Camp-In Notables

The Detroit Science Center requires a 1 adult/10 scout chaperone ratio for Camp-Ins. All
chaperones must pay the $30 Camp-In fee.

*A minimum of 100 participants are required and a maximum of 200 participants are allowed
per Camp-In.

*Balance and final count due two weeks before start of program.

* All sales final and non-refundable.
