The Detroit Science Center is currently closed.
All regular programs, events and group trips scheduled during the museum's closure will be rescheduled at a later date
or relocated to the Detroit Children’s Museum. The Detroit Children’s Museum is open Wednesday-Saturday.

"Dinosaurs Unearthed is designated as a special-engagement exhibition. Coupons and passes may not be applied to Dinosaurs Unearthed admission unless they are specifically designated for this exhibit."
Dinosaurs Unearthed has been extended due to dino-mite demand until Dec. 31.

On Sept. 26, 2011 the Detroit Science Center closed due to financial hardship. As it has for many weeks now, the Science Center is meeting with its long-term funders to share our recovery plan, explore funding and review the necessary steps to re-open the museum. The Science Center will remain closed while these efforts continue. All programs, events and group trips scheduled during the closure will be rescheduled at a later date or relocated to the Detroit Children’s Museum. The Detroit Children’s Museum is open Wednesday - Saturday. Please click on the Children’s Museum link above for more information on that museum. We deeply regret the impact that this closure has had on the many children, families and school groups who enjoy the Detroit Science Center.
